Education

NESHNA trust, an NGO, which is committed to providing basic education and healthcare to underprivileged children. An NGO for poor child education believes that whether you are addressing healthcare, poverty, population control, unemployment or human rights, there’s no better place to start than in the corridors of education.

Education is both the means as well as the end to a better life; means, because it empowers an individual to earn his/her livelihood and the end because it increases one’s awareness on a range of issues – from healthcare to appropriate social behavior to understanding one’s rights, and in the process evolve as a better citizen.

Neshna Trust educational initiatives include Pre-school [3-6 yrs], Non-Formal Education [6-14 yrs non-school going], Remedial Education [6-14 yrs school going] and Bridge Course [14-18 yrs drop-outs]. Which is works for education for underprivileged children who are under difficult circumstances, such as child labour, children of the poorest of the parents, children with rare disabilities, disaster-struck children and slum children. Special emphasis is given on girl education and women education, so that they and their families get empowered.

What we did Last year

We are started 43 centers child reformation centers, within the above 1500 students in this center.

We are provided computer education for the unemployed youth in the surrounding villages in their centers (child reformation center) in the 61 % of total beneficiaries were girls, to ensure a fair start for all.

Neshna Trust in collaboration with Green India Trust, MSS (Matshyakara Samkshema Samiti), and with financial support from Strada Dei Putei.

This child reformation center is to provide tuition for 2nd-class to 7th-class students in the adopted village.

Activities are carried out in Three Districts 1. Nellore,2.Prakasham, 3. East Godawari,(43 Villages Kovur,(1 Village), Vadavarulu (11 villages), Kavali (11 villages), Singarayakonda & Ulavapadu (11 villages) and Mughaltur (10 villages)) and above1900 kids are benefited from this program.

In each Centre, the classes are carried out for two hours in the evening. We have appointed teachers for each center, and a supervisor was appointed for a province consisting of 10 villages. The supervisor visits all the centers daily, monitors the attendance and performance of both teachers and students, and informs the daily feedback Office.

The teacher training program was carried out on the 2nd day of each month. In this, we focus not only on the problems at the center but also on what they have taught to children in running months and evaluate how far the children have learned from them.

This training program will help the teachers learn new things, overcome shortcomings, and improve their teaching skills. Through this program, they learn about student learning and behavior.

Supervisors Meet/training program was held on the 15th or 16th of each month which mainly focuses on the centers’ activities and improvement of Student’s attendance and capability. Two or more centers come together every two months and present what they have learned at the center. Prizes are distributed to the children who show the best performance. At this event, Local leaders were invited.

During historical festivals and special occasions, competitive examinations like drawings and Essay writing were conducted, and prizes were distributed to the winners and participants.
